As our community and the High Desert continue to grow, so must we! The Material Recovery Facility (MRF) was the first in San Bernardino County providing new jobs as well as keeping our desert communities clean and beautiful.

The City of Hesperia and the County of San Bernardino partner with Advance Disposal Co. & Recycling Center to achieve one major goal—landfill diversion. The State of California mandates that all cities and counties divert at least 50% of all refuse away from the landfills and Advance Disposal maintains one of the highest landfill diversion rates in the Region.
Although Advance Disposal sorts through almost 100% of the refuse received at the Material Recovery Facility (MRF), reducing, reusing and recycling is the ultimate answer to landfill diversion. This is where the City of Hesperia and Advance Disposal are collaborating efforts by providing programs to educate the children in schools as well as the community in reducing the amount of refuse generated, reusing our resources whenever possible, and by recycling.
